Jesus came to save everyone
Conversations:
Share your highs and lows, or respond to the following:
Why do people need to see a doctor?
Share and experience of seeing a doctor. What happened?
Bible Readings: 1st reading Hosea 5:15-6:6 Israel unrepentant
2nd reading Psalm 33:1-12 Sing joyfully to the Lord
Gospel reading Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26 Jesus heals
Discuss: Jesus said it is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick. Talk about how we need Jesus to heal us and save us from our sins. (Matthew 9:12-13)
Action Response: Our health professionals keep us healthy and help us when we are sick. Find a way to thank one this week. You could send a note of encouragement to them or drop off something special to the clinic.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being the great physician and thank you for giving us doctors and nurses to help us when we are sick. Bless them as they do their jobs. Amen.
Mealtime Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for the many blessings of food that keep us healthy. Help us to be grateful for all that we have. Amen
Blessing: May the Lord look over you with care.
Verse of the Week: For the word of the Lord is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. Psalm 33:4
