What's Going On In Our Parish

Survey

On March 26th during our special meeting, it was agreed unanimously we would have one public worship service. We set up our Working Party and at our first meeting a couple of weeks ago, agreed that we needed to seek information from TELP members to further decisions on their behalf.

The survey will be online the minute you read this email and will be open for your comment until Monday May 1st. We strongly recommend you access and complete the online survey at this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TELP2023

JESUS WALKS BESIDE US

Conversations:

Share your highs and lows, or respond to the following:

1. Who do you turn to when you are feeling sad?

2. Have you experienced Jesus alongside you when times have been

difficult?

Bible Readings: 1st reading Psalm 116:1-4, 12-19 Love the Lord

2nd reading 1 Peter 1:17-23 Love one another

Gospel reading Luke 24:13-35 On the road to Emmaus

Discuss: The two men walking to Emmaus were feeling sad. What turned their sadness into joy?

Action Response: Jesus came alongside two of his followers in their sorrow and brought them

joy. Plan a visit to someone in your congregation or community who would

appreciate some company. If they are able, you could go for a walk together.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, you are the living word of God, speak to us and make us new.

Amen.

Mealtime Prayer: Come and stay with us, Lord Jesus. Be with us as we eat, share and serve.

Amen.

Blessing: May the Lord walk with you today and always.

Verse of the Week: WHAT CAN I GIVE TO THE LORD FOR ALL THE GOOD THINGS HE HAS GIVEN TO ME? I WILL GIVE YOU AN OFFERING TO SHOW THANKS TO YOU, AND I WILL PRAY TO THE LORD. PSALM 116:12, 17
