Christmas Celebrations! Less than 1 week to go.
7pm on Christmas Eve, December 24th, we will be singing carols by candlelight and having readings at the church. Lynne will be giving us a message on the night and Angie will be playing!
9.30am Christmas Day December 25th, we will celebrate with our regular worship service. Tom will be delivering the Christmas Day message with Jason celebrating Holy Communion and the Bradtke’s playing.
Try and invite someone to come along with you on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to share the great news of our Saviour’s birth!

Food Bank
This is the last week we are collecting for Food Bank this year. If you have some groceries to spare and would like to support those in need this year, please bring your goodies to church this Sunday and put it in the purple box at the church entrance. They welcome any gifts, but have prepared a list of preferred groceries, so please check the list attached if you need advice.
It is especially important at this time of year when we remember the birth of our Saviour and celebrate with family and friends, that not all have the means to celebrate. We need to reach out and share the love of the Lord with our Territory community.

Bondi Beach Attack from Pastor Paul Smith Bishop, Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand
‘O Lord, God of my salvation, when, at night, I cry out in your presence, let my prayer come before you; incline your ear to my cry’ (Psalm 88:1,2).
This ‘season of joy’ has also become a season of sorrow, as we have been confronted by the horrific news of the mass shooting of families gathered for a festival of their Jewish faith in Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
The Lord’s command, ‘You shall not kill’, teaches us that we should ‘fear and love God, and so we should not endanger our neighbor's life, nor cause our neighbor any harm, but help and befriend our neighbor in every necessity of life’. The Scriptures teach us that each of us is a beloved creature of a loving creator, and we reject violence that destroys God’s gift of life.
Please pray for the families who have lost loved ones in the Sydney attack. Please pray for those who grieve; for those who are suffering; for those who serve them.
In this season of ‘Peace on Earth’, please also pray that the preaching of the gospel message of the birth, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus for our salvation would bring light into dark places, that we would live as people of hope, welcoming one another just as Christ Jesus has welcomed us (Romans 15).
